Metrotvnews.com, Surabaya: Chairman of the General Committee of Nahdlatul Utama (PBNU) KH Said Aqil Siroj said there are more than 800 Indonesians joining the militant group of Islamic State (ISIS). Said suspected that those joining the ISIS are aiming to transfer the Middle East conflict to Indonesia.

"Alhamdullilah, 30 from 800 joining ISIS has deceased," said KH Said Aqil Siroj in between the opening of Congress XV Fatayat NU, in Kertajaya Sport Stadium, Surabaya, East Java, Saturday (9/19/2015).

Said suspected the Indonesians are victims of provocation and doctrines of other Indonesian ISIS members. One of them, he mentioned, is Salim bin Mubarok At Tamimi.

"He's a Pasuruan man growing up in Malang, as conducting doctrines and recruitments of ISIS members," he mentioned.

Said affirmed that ISIS ideology is clearly against Islamic teachings believed by Indonesians, as ISIS taught hatred and misdirection.

"We inherit the teachings of NU founders who has a correct teachings, right attitude and correct Islam," he added.

In the history of Islam, Said mentioned, the name At Tamimi is a name of a person who had always created chaos in Islam. At Tamimi was killed by Abdurrahamn bin Muljat At Tamimi.

"So did the founder of Mazhab Wahabi, also Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab At Tamimi," he concluded.
