Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: As much as 50 percent or more of the equipments or industrial manufacturing machines in Indonesia come from Taiwan. The boom of the manufacturing industry was due to the trust on the stability of Indonesia's economy.
"Taiwanese products are plenty in Indonesia, as the price fits with good quality," mentioned the President Director of First Machinery Trade Co, Santosa Iswaratioso, in his statement, on Sunday (11/15/ 2015).
He thought Taiwanese machineries have been known for its durability, from the economic value. Aside from that, the price is very competitive compared to the machines from Japan or Europe.
Related to the economic slowdown, the distributors of the manufacturing machines from Taiwan still see the condition optimistically, as hoping the condition is to improve next year. He thinks the condition will improve, as long as the rupiah stays below Rp14,000 per USD. With the stability of the rupiah, it could initiate more machinery orders.
"So we are still optimistic on the economic condition will improve early next year," affirmed Santosa.
The optimism of the distributors of industrial manufacturing industry is also based on the different characters of offered items with other products. He explained that the industrial manufacturing machineries are not like the consumer goods, where it is only for one time, but it will last long.
"With the condition, we can still develop our business as we still have to prepare the aftermarket sales on the products in the market. It needs routine maintenance, spare parts and others," concluded Santosa.
