In Sombu Wakatabi, The Sea Shore That Good for Diving
Sombu Wakataboi Sea Shore (Photo: MTVN/Fitra Iskandar), Wakatobi: One of the diving spots to be visited when having a vacation in Wakatobi is Sombu Jetty. Despite the location at the side of the island, the beautiful undersea scenery can be met.
To reach Sombu Jetty, at the Wanci Sub-District, tourists only need around 20 minutes of driving from the center of the city, or Merdeka Field, Wangi-Wangi District. Meanwhile, when reached from Matahora Airport, it can be reached within 30 minutes.
To dive and snorkel, visitors just have to walk to the end of the pier thrusting the sea. The length of the bridge is around 100 meters.
The interesting part is that in this location, the diver seeking for depth may be fulfilled in exploring the beauty of the undersea by playing at the end of the bridge, as the sea beneath is at 20-40 meters deep. Meanwhile, the shallow waters are located on both sides of the pier.
On the side of the pier and bridges the depth is only at a meter, but visitors can swim with various types of fish. According to one of the tour guides in Wangi-Wangi, visitors can also see the sea turtles if they are lucky.
After playing in the sea, the visitors will also be presented with a magnificent view above the sea level in the afternoon. The sunset view in Sombu Jetty is captivating, as it is perfect to close the day after going on an adventure from morning until afternoon in Wangi-Wangi island.
