We should also monitor the public security situation within several regions following the heated situation after Regional Elections," Badrodin addressed.

Various threats are inevitable. The security threats from conventional crime, such as juvenile crimes or fights, illegal racing, up to the social conflicts including the terrorism and radicalism threats.

Nonetheless, the police, along with related institutions such as the Military, State Intelligence Agency and government institutions are to assist in anticipating and suppressing threats.

Meanwhile, the security on the simultaneous regional elections is still ongoing. However, the former East Java Police Chief mentioned that the operation for regional elections will not disturb the Operation Candle 2015.

"From the regional election side, there are some finished and some not. But they are only on certain spots, as it will easier for us to minimize the regional elections security with the Christmas and New Year security operation. It is not a problem, as we have split the duties on the field," mentioned Badrodin.
